American Idol Kristy Lee Cook Is Engaged
Wow, that was quick. Girl just got booted off Idol last night and she already is getting married! That’s right, Krtisy Lee Cook is engaged reports US Magazine.
Cook, 24, said her 25-year-old beau, Andrew Dobner, first popped the question on March 17.
They kept the news “on the down-low” because “I just wanted to be focused on Idol,” the Oregon native told Usmagazine.com in a conference call Thursday.
He then proposed again last night on Idol.
“He actually got down on his knee this time,” she said. “He owed it to me!”
Getting engaged seems like an awfully big commitment just to add another 13 seconds to your fifteen minutes of fame. Then again, nowadays if you’re on American Idol, it automatically means you are an instant celebrity, capable of being a successful recording artist, actor and movie star. I mean, who needs film school anyway?
