Kylie Minogue Not Sure About Motherhood

Kylie Minogue said she has dreams of having children someday, but fears she may have left it too late with her 40th birthday coming up next month (May 2008). However, when she looks at other female singers who've had great careers without families as an inspiration though. In an interview for the Vogue magazine (German edition), she said:
"I never had the feeling I was made for a conventional marriage with a house in the suburbs. There are artists such as Debbie Harry or Dolly Parton who have managed to have an unbelievable career without a family. Above everything else, it comes down to how much love you have in you and if you are ready to give that love. How things will turn out for me with regards to family I simply can't yet say."
Approaching 40 isn't the end and there is still certainly time for her to become a mother if that's what she wants to do, but it's a personal choice. In our society, there's a lot of pressure for women to get married and have children, but it's really not for everyone and some people can be completely satisfied in life not having either of those things.
