CSI's Gary Dourdan Arrested for Drug Possession

Gary Dourdan, who plays forensics investigator Warrick Brown on the CBS' hit CSI, was arrested for drug possession on Tuesday.  Shortly after 5 a.m., a patrol officer spotted Gary parked on the wrong side of the street, with the interior light of the car on, and he appeared to be sleeping, the Palm Springs, California, Police Department said in a statement.

Gary was found in possession of suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and prescription pills, the statement added.    The officer described him as disoriented and appearing to be under the influence of something. 

Gary was said to be in Palm Springs for the nearby Coachella Music Festival.  Gary spent 5 hours in custody and was released after he posted $5,000 bail.  His arraignment is scheduled for May 28.  He has released no statements regarding his arrest, nor has CBS.  It is unknown how his arrest and court date will affect shooting the series.

Gary was also on A Different World, Showtimes's Soul Food, and the movie Alien: Resurrection.  Interestingly, Gary was scheduled to leave CSI at the end of the season this year.  His character had been written out of the show.

  • Ohh Wow. Don't tell me this is another CSI stunt, but it sounds like a perfect script for an episol TV series. Yeah, Gary Dourdan is a party animal CSI Los Vegas. The dude seems drunk on the show all the time anyway. It figures that he's high on the set. He's not only a user, he's the dealer of these many drug. Palm Spring police goet a tip, it's not a racial profiling case.

  • Gary Is one of my favorites on CSI But then again they all are. I wish Gary Nothing but happiness and hope for a better future. Gary I am a fan and back you. Take care of yourself, I was shocked at the season finale and very upset because he cannot come back unless Stokes find him and saves him. PLEASE dont do this to all CSI fans I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Baby come back!!!!!

  • Gary: You're a talented actor and totally goodlooking. Don't believe the Hollywood lie that you can do lots of drugs and remain on top. Just think about so many celebrities who thought the same and are 9 ft. under, sad has-beens, or unemployed/unemployable due to drugs/alcohol. Get clean and, for goodness sake, comb your hair, shave and take care of the good looks God gave you. The more you abuse those looks, the less they will last. Forget the drugs and get high on life!
