Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons Fight Over Kids

It's really sad when divorces get ugly and it looks like things are getting nasty between Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons. Kimora Lee reportedly filed for sole custody of their daughters and the Def Jam Records co-founder has just submitted a challenge to the divorce petion. He's seeking joint physical and legal custody which seems like a natural thing he'd want.

When Kimora Lee filed for custody, she at least requested that Simmons get "reasonable child visitation" to his kids. How nice.

However, both of them are asking the court to deny spousal support for the other. Ouch.

It's too bad - they seemed like they were getting along so well when they first split which would've been an ideal situation for their kids.

  • I just watched a recent episode of Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane and they threw Russell a surprised 50th bday party...anyways, they all seemed so happy and looked like they all were getting along. You couldn't even tell that the two had gotten a divorce...that's too bad. I hope they both get equal custody of the kids.

  • I myself like kimora but, her idea about being a queen or just stuck up it's her style. Just because you had a good life with someone who showed you nothing but a good life you should never forget where you come from and I think she did, If no harm or abuse goes towards them kids he should have equal custody of them and not have nannies and security when he comes to get them because it's unnecessary and hurtful to the father and especially to the kids, she wouldn't be where she is today without russell and she should never forget that. Why have a 50th birthday party for her ex if she's having that much of an issue with him that's being fake and sending mixed messages to her kids.
