Lindsay Sued Over Fur-Gate
I know this might come as a surprise to you, but you can’t steal stuff and get away with it, even if you’re kind of famous. Lindsay Lohan learned this lesson yesterday after 22 year old Masha Markova filed a lawsuit against her for taking her fur coat without permission.
Masha Markova, claims that the Mean Girls star took her $12,000 golden sheared mink coat when they were both at the New York City nightclub 1Oak in January, the Associated Press reports, citing papers filed in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court.
Markova, a New York college student, says she was flipping through a magazine and found a photo of Lohan wearing her coat. “It was my coat. It was no doubt,” she told the New York Post.
The coat reportedly was returned to her by the club in February.
According to Masha, the fur stank of cigarettes and booze when it was returned to her, and required repair due to a rip in the lining. She reportedly asked for $10,000 in damages and dry-cleaning fees.
I wonder if Masha will allow payment from Lindsay in the form of used leggings?
