those aren't pills. They are crack "rocks". Junkies put the rock in their mouths and it numbs their whole mouth and throat (they try not to swallow it because first and foremost they loose their rock, and secondly because it can be toxic and deadly. It doesnt dissolve the rock. They definitely still smoke it after they get numb.
