• he doesn't deserve to go 2 jail because lot's of people dont pay there taxes. do they have 2 go 2 jail for three years? most of the time they only get penalties or fees.

• Well, the previous poster has it wrong, but what can you expect from someone who spells out words with numbers. People go to jail for tax evasion when the dollar amount they did not pay is excessive which is the case with Wesley Snipes. He owed millions, not a couple thousand, so yes, he deserved to go to jail. He evaded taxes for years! People may get penalties and fines when they do not owe a lot of money or they skip out on one year, but they too face the possibility of jail time too. There is no reason why someone who makes such a lucrative living should not pay taxes when everyone else has to. He should go to jail based on stupidity and greed alone.
