Do You Consider the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Photos to be Child Pornography or Art?

Well Im not one to judge..so I wont, However what you see on the Disney chanel is very much different from what she must be like at home or when shes out with her friends,she cant play miss goodie goodie forever.These days 15 year olds are way out there. shes not a bad person for taking pics like those...however Vanity Fair shouldve thought about it being looked at as Child pornography..Im mean come on, these days you have to be careful, I guess they just werent thinking and got caught up in the moment. Who knows...All I think is that the shoot shouldnt have been done with a 15 year old.

I think it's sad that this photo has given birth to so much controversy and is the subject of so much ridicule. People look at it and their minds immediately turn to scandal and abuse, because society has trained us all to believe that contemporary teen idols are merely angels waiting to fall from grace. I think it's one of the most powerful celebrity photos in recent memory and a noble attempt by the Annie Leibovitz to reach beyond a normally trite and superficial genre of photography and touch something greater. I see a dialogue between the viewer and the artist that speaks of the intensity and power of youth and its vulnerability to exploitation. The bare skin of her BACK is an expression of weakness and vulnerability, hinting at the helplessness of young stars forced to bear the pressures of their fame. Young stars and even adults often break under the pressure of keeping up the appearance of their carefully crafted personae. The real shame in all of this is that one attempt at expressing something beyond the shallow personality fronted by Disney Television was immediately derided even though it was artistic and tasteful.

This situations makes me upset, because her parents have seen what happens to all the other young stars. Why would they do this to their daughter. My wife and I are evangelical christians. Unless there are more photos(I have only seen the one) then I find this photo to be of an artistic nature. When I go to any beach I see more provocative skin than this photo. Miley is only exposing her back. I also think that the close bond she appears to have with her father is a healthy one and will help to, one day, lead to a smooth transition to her future husband.
