The California court system breathed a sigh of relief last week when OK! exclusively revealed that Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline had finally reached an agreement over their prolonged custody battle for their two children. However, sources tell OK! that Brit's dad, Jamie Spears, who has been acting as her court-ordered conservator for several months and who has final say over all her legal and financial matters, isn't happy with the agreement and is refusing to sign off on the settlement. Both parties are expected back in court today at 2 p.m. PST for an emergency hearing with family court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who had been expected to make the settlement official several days ago. On July 17, K-Fed's lawyer spoke exclusively to OK! to announce that he and Brit's attorney Laura Wasser had worked out an agreement between the feuding spouses. Under the terms of the settlement, Kevin is to retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston, 2, and 1-year-old Jayden James, while Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time. The agreement was presented to the court on July 18, at which point commissioner Gordon was expected to finalize the paperwork, finally putting an end to months of back-and-forth feuding. source

French police say camouflaged paparazzi who managed to get onto the grounds of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's chateau in southern France on Thursday fought with the Hollywood couple's guards. Both the paparazzi and the Jolie-Pitt's head of security confirmed the confrontation but gave widely different versions of events. Freelance photographer Luc Goursolas said he broke a guard's finger and bit another until he bled, and that they hit him with a walkie-talkie, punched and kicked him, leaving a head wound that required three stitches. "I was pouring blood. I threw myself at them, put blood all over them, and told them that I had HIV so they would stop hitting me," Goursolas told The Associated Press on Friday. Tony Webb, head of security at the Miraval estate, said Goursolas went "berserk" without provocation and denied that his guards punched the photographer. He said Jolie and Pitt may be forced to move if their privacy is not respected, and that the couple feels besieged. He said local police are not taking the problem seriously enough. "If they get invasion of their privacy like this then they would have no option, and they would have to go somewhere where the laws are upheld a bit better," Webb told the AP. "It's just not fair, they are in their own property and you've got him (Goursolas) and there could be another dozen out there that we can't find" on the 1,235-acre property, he said. "They are just a couple trying to bring up their young family." Goursolas said he wasn't on the property but in woods nearby where the guards, on quad bikes, found him. "The forest belongs to everyone," he said, adding that he walked five hours to get there. "I wasn't in their garden." He said he didn't take any photos. The colleague who was with him, camerawoman Marianne Saint-Arroman, said she didn't take any video. She confirmed they were wearing khaki and camouflage to avoid being seen in the woods. "We weren't going to wear a red sweater," she said. Webb, however, said the paparazzi were on the property, about 600 yards from the house, on a wooded hill from where Webb suspects that previous shots were taken of Jolie and Pitt in their garden with their children. He said Goursolas had also camouflaged his equipment and that he was "there for a good stay." Jolie returned last weekend to the estate after the July 12 birth of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, in the Mediterranean city of Nice, about 60 miles away. Goursolas claimed that Pitt came out to speak to them after the fight. "He told me, 'What you are doing is bad, I am fed up with my private property being violated' ... and then he said, 'If you want war you will get it.'" Webb said he wasn't on hand at that point but added that he didn't think Pitt said that. Police spokeswoman Capt. Olivia Poupot said both sides filed legal complaints accusing the other of battery and causing injury. Goursolas said he also filed complaints for illegal detention and arrest. The police spokeswoman said the injured personnel from the estate got doctors' notes giving them four days off from work, but that the photographers did not. Police took everyone downtown to the nearby village of Carces and took statements. A judge will rule on whether the legal complaints should be pursued further, she said. "One can imagine that if you discover someone in your garden who is taking your photo then you're not necessarily going to politely show them the way out," she said. Poupot said it was the first time the chateau has called on police to intervene since the Jolie-Pitts settled there earlier this year, ahead of the twins' birth. But she said she had no other information. "This kind of thing is really not the type of problem that interests us," she said. "There are, in my opinion, far more important things than paparazzi taking photos of a glamour couple." source

Guy Ritchie spoke out for the first time today to deny rumours that his marriage to Madonna is in trouble. The pair have been under intense scrutiny amid speculation their seven-year partnership is on the rocks. But the 39-year-old film director announced that as far as he was aware his marriage was 'fine' as he joined cast members of his latest film RocknRolla in San Diego. Rumours of marriage difficulties abounded when Madonna was romantically linked to New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez - which Madonna fiercely denied. The 49-year-old has also had to endure hurtful allegations from brother Christopher Ciccone who claims in his tell-all book that she loves her career and herself more than her husband. However the couple are trying to present a united front and Madonna has agreed to be at her husband's side for the London premiere of RocknRolla . Ritchie told People magazine: 'My marriage is fine as far as I'm aware of.' He continued: 'I live vicariously through my wife, so I was once a spy and now I've become a tourist, and it's much more fun to live in London as a tourist than it is as a spy. 'Someone told me the definition was a spy always looks for the bad stuff, and a tourist always looks for the good stuff. So that makes it easy, being married to an American.' Incest cellar victim Elisabeth Fritzl has ordered her mother Rosemarie out of the villa they have been sharing at a psychiatric clinic. Elisabeth, 42, is furious that three of the children born to her during her captivity in the cellar keep referring to Rosemarie, 69, as 'mother', Austrian media report. The three were taken away from Elisabeth by her father Josef - her depraved captor - and brought up above ground by him and Rosemarie.Elisabeth is also dealing with the huge issue of Rosemarie's passiveness during her own childhood. She says brutal Fritzl began abusing her when she was just 11 years old. Everything came to a head at the weekend in the 200 square metre villa that the family are now sharing - Elisabeth, Rosemarie, her three cellar offspring and the three 'upstairs' children. She ordered her mother to leave. With no money, cut off from her family and with her 74-year-old husband in jail awaiting charges that will certainly see him imprisoned for life, Rosemarie is said to be shattered. Doctors say that Rosemarie - married for 52 years to Fritzl even though he was imprisoned early on in their marriage for raping a nurse - is perhaps the most severely disturbed of all the family members.Family lawyer Christoph Herbst said at the time: 'She has lost the centre of her world. 'Her life was never that good but she always had the children, and she had to be strong and be there for them, no matter how bad things were at home. 'Now she is no longer the key figure in the children's lives because their mother has returned and at the same time she also has to deal with the knowledge of the awful revelations of what had happened to her daughter Elisabeth over all these years.' Elisabeth disappeared from the family home in Amstetten when she was 18. Rosemarie accepted her husband's lies that their daughter had run away to join a cult. In truth, Fritzl had built a secret dungeon beneath the family home where he kept Elisabeth as a sex slave for 24 long years. She bore him seven children, one of whom died shortly after birth and whose corpse he burned in the central heating stove. 'I thought Elisabeth had joined the sect,' she told police, convincing them that she knew nothing about her daughter's ordeal. She was moved into the psychiatric hospital with Elisabeth and the incest children after Fritzl's secret cellar was discovered in April this year. One newspaper claims that Elisabeth is not convinced her mother knew nothing about her childhood abuse by Fritzl in the family home. Rosemarie returned to the dungeon house a month ago to collect toys and possessions from the cellar. But she is reportedly too scared to live in the rambling 66-room house on her own, sealed as it is with police tape as a crime scene location and emptied of lodgers. 'She has no idea where to go or what to do,' said a family friend. 'She is shattered.' There was no immediate word today from the family lawyer about reports of the rift.
