Life After The Roc Pt 2

I posted a story earlier about Foxy Brown feeling abandoned by Jay-z who was supposed to be her “Clyde”. Now the former Princess of the Roc Teairra Mari has revealed that she too was abandoned by Jay-z unexpectedly after he came into her life as a father figure. Check out a few excerpts from the interview: Teairra on being dropped from Rocafella I’m going to be totally honest; I don’t know what happened. I just got a call out of the blue because I had gotten cut my second advance and everything to record my second album. I got a call one day. They were just like, “Yeah we’re going to be letting you go. You’re young and we believe you will be able to have a prosperous career without us,” just kind of like throwing me out in the cold really. That’s how I kind of look at it, because we were all supposed to be like a close family. I called Jay-Z my father; he was like a second father to me. Tracy Waples, I called her a second mother. So to just be thrown out – and I didn’t get a call from Tracy or Jay – it was a bit heartbreaking. You know we live and we learn, but just me being that young and inexperienced I didn’t know. So I took it pretty hard. Teairra on her current relationship with Jay-z There is no relationship there at all. I haven’t heard from him since that time. I think I sent him a happy birthday message because his birthday is two days after mine, like two years ago and since then it’s been nothing. And I don’t want it to be – Actually, it’s fine because I was a young girl. If you could come into a young girl’s life and then just throw her on the curb, you put this father presence on and then be like, “I’m done with it.” I don’t want a relationship like that. ….I see both sides. I see how people can be on you one second and then totally off of you and not even call you to see if you’re still living or not. She also talks about being 17 with a parental advisory sticker on her album and the direction she plans to take with her next album. It seems as though Jay-z has crushed alot of hearts in his lifetime. From the likes of Amil, to Teairra Marie, Beanie Siegal and his cousin De-haven, it seems like Jay-z has been given folks “the boot” left and right over the years with no remorse. In the latest segment of his”Rag to Riches” hood drama, Foxy Brown cries over spilled milk in the September cover story of XXL Magazine. “A lot of things have happened over the years between Jay and I,” she says of the man who signed her to a multimillion-dollar deal at Def Jam in 2005, nine years after their classic duet “Ain’t No N*gga” gave him his first radio hit. “But there’s an unbreakable bond that will never die. 50 wanted me to be part of his team so bad. He was like, ‘Look, I’ll do it with Jay, half and half.’ And, of course, Jay said no. At one point, 50 asked, ‘Why do you have so much loyalty to this N*gga?’ Jay and I have history. There are things that he could have done better, as far as his loyalty to me, and I’m sure I’ve made mistakes that he felt he could’ve prevented.” Foxy chokes up. “When I lost my hearing, Jay gave me the respect to go heal myself. He stuck with me along the way. But there are times when I just really needed him, and it wasn’t even about Foxy Brown and Jay-Z. It was just like, ‘I need you to help me save my life,’ and he just wasn’t there.” (<—you can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved) The tears are streaming down her cheeks. “I would never denounce him in public. That’s just how I feel. But I’ve been incarcerated for eight months, and Jay’s been everywhere, and he hasn’t mentioned one thing about, ‘Tell her I love her. Tell her to be strong.’ That broke my heart more than anything. When they sent me to jail, I just knew he would be there-everyone came. But he never showed up… My mother always says,jay also said this,in the tru life freestyle ‘Inga, when a person shows you who they are, believe them. Been showing me all through the years and you just don’t wanna believe it.’” via Crunk & Disorderly I’m typing this while having visuals of Foxy going upside Beyonce’s head with a Blackberry. I’m sure she’s thought about it more than a few times. Crazy a**… I just can’t understand while people won’t let this man live. Everyone’s bringing up his past while he’s constantly trying to focus on the future with his wife. I’m a firm believer that some people you have to let off at the next stop because it’s not meant for everyone to take that “ride” with you. Unfortunately for Foxy, She was the weakest link… Goodbye!

Fabolous Has A New BabyNo Ring

Just got off my job at Hooters and I’m getting emails about Fabolous. I didn’t know folks were checking for him like that cause I know I wasn’t after I saw them pics of his busted up gums at a party earlier this year. I used to think he was cute too! Anyway, TheYBF posted pics from Fabolous myspace of his new baby and baby mama. Before you start saying, “damn he got a thick chick” she’s actually a cute girl that used to model and had a slimmer body post pregnancy. The chick’s name is Emily B and she has been his live in girlfriend for about 3 years now and also classifies herself as his stylist (you know Vanessa was Kobe’s jewelry designer right?). Terrence Apologizes To Rocsi (Video)

Everyone keeps asking “What happened on 106 and Park yesterday?”, so here it goes: Yesterday on the show, Mario was on as a co-host with Rocsi. As they came back from a commercial break Mario presented Rocsi with flowers to which Rocsi said “Thank You! You are so sweet!” Mario then revealed that the flowers were not from her, but from Terrence and proceeded to read her the following letter: Dear Rocsi, You and I have been together for two years and in that time we’ve become family. But sometimes we foolishly take family for granted and sometimes with family we take it too far. So let me say my dearest Rocsilla, I took it too far that Rriday with my comment and I hope that you will forgive me. You are one of the most beautiful, talented and ambitious people I know and even the idea that I may have hurt you with my teasing has made me sad. From the bottom of my heart I hope that I will never ever ever hurt you again. It’s just not the same. A strong man needs a strong woman, so Rocsi please continue to be my rock. I have to take some time off from the show now but I hope to see you soon. Love Terrence Rocsi took awhile to respond so Mario was about to go into a video to give her time to think about her answer but she says “no, i’m cool. I love my brother”. So there you have it. Excuse the slow updates today as I have spent half the day chasing down some money. Sista got bills to pay. Next time a rapper flashes some stacks in front of me, I’m walking away with a couple dollas. Matter of fact, I’m about to start hosting some hood parties like my girl Gabrielle Union because she definitely appears to be making more money from the parties than her movies. She hosted the Swagga Entertainment and Dunk Ryder Records party at Mansion in Miami over the weekend and Angel Lola Luv, Trina, Shay “Buckeey” Johnson, Fabolous and a few other folks came through. Rick Ross Caught Lying About his Past

Why didn’t Rick Ross just tell the truth when the rumors dropped that he was a correctional officer back in the day? Like a man caught cheating, his a** denied, denied, denied but he had to know that the truth would have come out sooner than later. Today, The Smoking Gun has obtained documents that further proves that Rick Ross was a “man in uniform”, working as a prison guard at the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County Florida back in 1995. Peep the article, documents and photos below: JULY 21–Apparently desperate to distance himself from any affiliation with law enforcement, the rapper Rick Ross has recently denounced as fake photos purporting to show him in a former career as a Florida prison guard. But Department of Corrections (DoC) records show that Ross, whose raps detail the Miami gangster lifestyle and his supposed days trafficking cocaine, did, in fact, work as a correctional officer for 18 months. Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts) was appointed a prison guard in December 1995 at a salary of $22,913.54, according to the below personnel record, which was provided to TSG by Jo Ellyn Rackleff, a DoC spokesperson. The rapper’s social security number is identical to that of the jail guard. According to the official document, Ross was earning $25,794.34 when he left the department in June 1997. After graduating from the DoC training academy, Ross was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County (the lockup is one of three statewide that serves as an intake facility for new prisoners). When a photo of a uniform-clad Ross surfaced last week of the 32-year-old performer claimed that unnamed “online hackers” put “my face when I was a teenager in high school on other peoples’ body. If this shit was real don’t you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything?” He added, “Fake pictures are created by the fake, meant to entertain the fake.” The photo shows a 19-year-old Ross at a DoC ceremony (he was part of the department’s 60th graduating class). He is pictured shaking hands with Marta Villacorta, who then headed the South Florida Reception Center. Villacorta, now the department’s South Florida regional director, was identified by Rackleff, who examined the photo Ross claims was Photoshopped. In a recent video taped interview, Ross replied, “No, that’s not true” when asked if he had worked as a prison guard. He claimed that the phony story was being circulated by detractors upset by his success in the rap world, where, “I came out of nowhere and just took over the streets.” Okay I’m not even tripping that he denied his background anymore. Breaking News: DJ K-Swift Dies In Baltimore

Club Queen DJ K Swift photo’d w/ Atl rapper T.I I have some sad news for my Baltimore readers. 92Q’s DJ K Swift was pronounced dead this morning after a head injury stemming from a pool accident. I am a Maryland native that grew up on 92Q radio so this really hit home as she had been doing her thing on the radio and in the clubs for a long time. Sources are telling me she had a cookout in Baltimore yesterday and dived into her pool head first which resulted in the deadly head injury. Here’s the official word from All Hip Hop: Popular female DJ K-Swift died this morning (July 21) in a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland AllHipHop.com has learned. K-Swift, born Khia Edgerton, was just 28-years-old, at the time of her death, although she started DJ’ing at the age of 11, due to the influence of other pioneering DJ’s like Cocoa Channel and Jazzy Joyce. K-Swift broke ground on Baltimore’s Radio One station 92Q Jams, where she rose to Female Mix Show Coordinator and was the only female in the country to hold the title. She was also a member of the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition, as well as a member of the all female squad the Murda Mami’s. “I’m at a loss for words right now,” Murda Mami founder 1st Lady El told AllHipHop.com. “K-Swift was not only one of my Murda Mami sisters, she was a great friend. She knocked down doors for women in this industry, so humble and hard working. Legendary in the club music scene and the number one DJ in Baltimore. Down South Takeover: One Chance Are Drunks, Lloyd Is A Freak, Rocko Claims Monica & Plies Is A Diva

DJ Greg Street celebrated his 13th anniversary with the Down South Takeover concert this weekend and singer Lloyd got some young girl tingling with this routine…(did ya’ll card her before she hit the stage..lol) I think I’ve just become a Lloyd stan fan! The concert held at the Gwinnet Center featured performances by Rick Ross, Plies, One Chance, Rocko, Killer Mike, Gorilla Zoe, Trey Songz and Shawty Lo. For the most part Gyant From SOHH, Blogxilla and I stayed backstage harassing artists as a blog tag team but I have all the scoop on Monica and Rocko, a possible Rick Ross Plies Beef and more under the cut… First let me get this out of the way. I am so late on Monica and Rocko being engaged. I know earlier this year (or was it last year) he was on 106 and Park and everyone made a hoopla over him not acknowledging Monica the way they felt he should but I never knew they were engaged. Anyway, after Rocko performed the song “I’mma Do Me” and was preparing to leave the stage, he said the following: I just want to encourage everyone to build everything like it’s no tomorrow. And I just say that to say, don’t put off til tomorrow, what you could have done today. So don’t procrastinate because you never know. But if you live to see tomorrow, do it bigger than you did today. Shout outs to my fiancee Monica Before hugging her and leaving the stage. (I caught it all on tape). Later, I asked her if I was late on the whole engagement news and she said “Yes” (LOL) but then told me that he surprised her with that because he’s a very private person and he’s never acknowledged that in public. For the inquiring minds, they haven’t set a date and she wasn’t wearing any rings but who needs rings nowadays? A ring doesn’t validate anything. Congrats to them… Moving right along, I’m not sure what was up with the Dude Mike from One Chance but all I know is they had patron on the stage and their show ended with one of his group members having to pick him up and drag his sweaty no-shirt having a** off the stage. Too much to drink ya think? Also Plies must be beefing with someone. Rick Ross maybe? When he entered the building his people made everyone clear the halls before he walked in. DIVA? Not to mention, during his performance he had a few security guards on stage and two police standing guard at the bottom of the stage. What was he scared of? I know last month there were rumors that Rick Ross called him a “lil b*tch” while performing overseas, and said he had already “smacked the sh*t out of him” years ago. (but that’s just rumor). Anyway, Plies was definitely not playing any games when it came to being protected.. I love my girl’s style but checking for Tey in a bikini is like catching one of your boy cousins trying on your panties. It’s just not right. Meagan Good and her piece of chocolate was spotted sitting front row at the Custo Barcelona Swimwear show looking hella uninterested.
